Grassi is a character in System Shock 2. He was the head technician on the MedSci Deck. He was responsible for cleaning, fixing, and maintaining the Cryo-Recovery units, and relocating frozen patients.
Background[]
Grassi displayed empathy and pity for the laboratory chimps aboard the Von Braun. He also expressed a degree of annoyance at the monkey's poor hygiene and the constant smell of their excrement.
When Anatoly Korenchkin returned from Tau Ceti V, Grassi noticed Korenchkin's new deformities - the onset of his mutation into a Hybrid. Grassi suggested that Korenchkin see Dr. James Watts, only to be told to mind his own business.
Grassi noted that the behavior of the monkeys changed since the Von Braun reached Tau Ceti. When Nurse Angela Loesser selected a monkey for dissection, the rest of the monkeys acted out in apparent protest.
Grassi was tasked with placing soldier G65434-2 in a recovery freezer by SHODAN, masquerading as Dr. Janice Polito. He recognized the illegal cybernetics installed in the grunt, and expressed his annoyance, but complied nonetheless.
The cause of Grassi's death is unknown.
